When the Beachbody Ultimate Reset came out in 2012 & I watched everyday for 21 days as my friends & fellow coaches went through their first round, I knew I needed to do this. I told Tom all about it & his reaction to me was that we would NEVER go Vegan! Well, I knew chances were we would not stay vegan, but I wanted to try the detox for several reasons, weight loss wasn't really one of them either. I was desperate to change my relationship with FOOD! I needed some extreme structure to help me out. In all my efforts to eat clean etc, I still needed to make some bigger changes.
After seeing people results & hearing about their experiences, it took me a few months but hubby finally agreed to do it with me. We are a team. There was no way that I would want to do it alone, besides it's way more cost effective if we are eating the same foods.
So I made the purchase of two Ultimate Reset kits & we read all the materials & started our plan of prepping & packing food. Since he was working the graveyard shift we needed to prep & pack all of his food. We were up for the challenge!
The end results were Tom kicking his 2-3 per night Energy drink habit. Currently it's been 14 months since he has had one. We both dropped our cholesterol in a major way & shed some unwanted body fat as well. Check out the pics for details on weight loss & cholesterol numbers. We also picked up some great habits & recipes that we eat on a regular basis.
We did another round in January 2014 just to Reset our bodies & start off the new year in a great way! This time around the prep was much faster & easier since we were familiar with the process already.
We have decided this is something we would do once per year.
Right now the Beachbody Ultimate Reset challenge pack is on sale for a great price!! There is a HUGE support group starting on April 16th. This group will include Carl & Isabel Daikeler as well! When you purchase a Challenge Pack & join a support group full of people doing the same program as yourself you benefit in so many ways. Questions being answered 24/7, experiences being shared constantly, support of one another, motivation to stay strong. People who join a challenge/support group have a much higher success rate!
If you are interested in joining this group & making some big changes in your health, let me know & we can talk details to see if this is a good fit for you!
I am a mother of 2 girls, wife to a CHP officer & on a mission to build my future from home & share my journey into the world of Health & Fitness!! I love to sleep! I am NOT a morning person. I am learning how to deal with all the things I cannot control. I have been struck by the depression demon & overcome it many times. I've been overweight. I grew up with bad nutrition habits. I don't like to follow the rules. I am learning to be more spontaneous in life.

Why YOU should give Beachbody Coaching a try!
Why?? Um, WHY NOT?!?!?!
I mean, REALLY, what is the number one reason you don't give it a try??
Fear? Fear of Failure? Fear of Rejection? Fear of Change? Fear of Success?
Is it your fitness level? Not to your GOAL weight or fitness level?
Is it money?
Is it time?
Seriously, it's time to get rid of the EXCUSES, because that is all those are!! You are the one standing in your own way!
A Beachbody Coach does NOT have to be in the best shape of their life. There is NO requirement that says this, anywhere! It is an assumption! All you need to be is committed to YOURself, YOUR health & YOUR fitness. Being able to share with other people about your daily struggles & accomplishments is very therapeutic & rewarding at the same time.
A Beachbody Coach does not need to "have" money & by "have" I mean the definition of when people assume you just have expendable cash to purchase the products & resell, as with most every other Direct Sales Business. That is an uneducated ridiculous assumption. There are a very large percentage of successful coaches who scraped their money together to purchase their challenge pack so they could sign up as a coach for FREE. People who used credit cards when they had no money in the bank. People who literally lived in their cars. People who didn't even have a computer at home & had to go next door to the neighbors house to sign up. These people did NOT let the excuses control their lives any longer. I didn't have the time or the money or the confidence when I signed up. Heck I flat out told my coach that I didn't want to promote anything like she did. And guess what? I didn't have to, when I posted about my first 30 days with P90X, people wanted the same results. This company sells itself! There is a reason that Beachbody has the number 1 rated infomercials on T.V.... because they work! This is not a quick fix for you to sell your friends. This is the opportunity that could CHANGE THEIR LIFE! This is the opportunity that could change YOUR LIFE!
Besides the fact that Beachbody offers a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee, why wouldn't you want to invest in your health. We all know that America is NOT happy with the new Health Insurance situation, so how about some Preventative care to avoid long term care you cannot afford in the future??

Make the Commitment, Reap the 21 Day Fix results.
Hi! I just wanted to give an update on the results from my first Test group for the 21 Day Fix.
I've lost 1.25 off my waist and a little more than .75 off my hips.
My "muffin top" is almost completely gone. My shirts skim my tummy. They no longer cling to it
I learned that I was eating healthy but my portion sizes were way off
Like always I love shakeo but I was mixing it with 12 oz almond milk which I didn't know counted as carbs. Now I drink it with water and it's STILL good!
The workouts are awesome! I have to say my favs are the Upper Fix, Dirty 30 & Yoga. The others are not so easy, but I have done them all and am loving the results. I didn't want to weigh in because I was afraid to be disappointed, but I gave in and I have lost 6 lbs so far
The DVD workouts where fun but a workout! I liked the fact that they had a women do the less impact workout. Which I followed most if the time.
What I learned in this program was portions and mixing greens, proteins and so on. Even though I was eating salads for dinner, I had a huge salad. Didn't even consider portion before because it was a salad.
So, now that I've completed this, im going for round 2! (4lb loss first round)
My experience with round 1 was great! My total weight loss was 4lbs & I lost 4 inches all over. To some, that may not seem like much, but keep in mind that we are all on our own journey. We do not all have the same amount of weight to lose nor do we have the same goals. As for the nutrition, I realized I was eating too many portions of fruit a day, not enough vegetables & too much healthy fats. My nutrition has been a journey in itself! I have done so many "diets" & "ways of eating" but once starting with Beachbody & doing my OWN research with Clean eating & healthier alternatives I have been able to cut out a lot of bad shit. Not to say I don't ever indulge but it's just not as often. So to say that my nutrition is spot on about 85-90% of the time is perfect. Clearly it shows in the results I have obtained over 2 years but now I am looking for that next level of results & the 21 Day Fix is my answer!!! Being able to just fill a colored container with a certain food group & dump it on my plate has been so easy & it has helped me to combine food groups in my meals so that I am getting a little bit of everything & not ending up at dinner with all vegetable portions to eat, lol.
I am currently on round 2 with my husband. He lost about 6lbs in round 1.
Check out what the other challengers in our group are experiencing:
Nikki C: I'm in day 11 of the first round.
I have only lost around 2 lbsI've lost 1.25 off my waist and a little more than .75 off my hips.
Rhonda: Just hopped on the scale and another 3 pounds gone! So excited!
Shawn: Today is day 10! I haven't posted an update just because its been a bad week. Not with the program, just with life.. lots of stress. Anyhow...
I am loving the 21 day fix! The containers are great, they are really helping with my portions. Also I am not used to eating during the day so it has helped to have a guide to choosing the right things, now I don't even have to think about it. Getting easier everyday.
Nichole: Today I put on some clothes I haven't been able to wear in at least a year! Feeling a little emotional!
Julie: Awesome! As of Monday I'm 9 lbs down. Not going to take my measurements again until the last day though. I'm already excited for round 2!
Rhonda: I'm going to share my experience with 21 Day Fix!
I started by reading all the pamphlets and looking at the containers. Figured out how many calories I can consume and so on. This took me a few days to get it together and have somewhat of a routine.
Jason: It was cool. I am doing another round! I haven't measured my inch loss but I lost a total of 23 lbs. I'm at 220 now! I got the flu on wed and part of thurs so I only did double days mon and tues. Skipped the rest of the week. Today I feel great and will start double days again. My goal is 5 lbs per week for a total of 15 lbs at the end of this round. Let's do this!
If you don't know anything about the 21 Day Fix, check out this video with Trainer Autumn Calabrese.
This program has been a complete game changer for those who have completed at least one round. If you have more interest in my challenge group please don't hesitate to contact me via Facebook, here.
I'll be updating this blog post as the next round of challengers reveals their results. Check back soon.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

The role MY SPONSORING COACH has played in my life.
I have known my sponsoring coach, Mindy Hord, for many years. We grew up in the same town, graduated High School (early) together & partied together A LOT! I remember her having her oldest child at a young age. I remember her leaving town & moving all the way to Texas at a young age as well. We lost contact for a long time. We reconnected on Facebook in 2008-9ish. I remember watching her go through her last pregnancy & being committed to eating healthy so she could walk out of the hospital in her regular jeans. I was in an eating healthy stage as well & I recall sharing protein smoothie recipes a few times. Never discussing exercise, that I can recall.
Fast forward to April of 2012. I just had my second daughter & was waiting to be released from the Dr to join the Gym. One day I saw her post that she was starting P90X. Didn't think much of it, because I too had attempted P90X a few years prior & never finished. In fact I knew several people who owned it & either never attempted it or never finished it, so I kind of thought that was just how it was. Then she posted about a challenge group & Shakeology. I remembered looking at Shakeology briefly when I purchased P90X & thinking it was an overpriced protein shake. I asked her about her challenge group & told her that I already owned P90X & that I was just waiting to be released from the Dr. She encouraged me to join her group. I asked about Shakeology & decided to order 1 bag to give it a try. I signed up as a coach that same week.
At first, I told her that I did not want to promote as she was. Just wanted a discount on the products. She said ok & was not pushy at all. She has always been very supportive & encouraging. I slowly decided to learn more about coaching. She was able to point me in the right direction for answers & was there when I needed her. She still made my fitness & health a priority & kept me going. I have watched her do amazing things with her Beachbody Business & I have learned so much from her. We have both grown in areas we never thought we needed. I have definitely learned a lot. Everyday I get a little something from her. It's been such an amazing, life changing experience that I cannot thank her enough for what she has taught me.
I strive daily to be a great leader, coach, friend, wife, mother, daughter, sister. Many of these things come from her & Beachbody's encouragement of Personal Development. The role that Mindy, has played in my life has truly become significant. I will forever be grateful to her & her support during this journey in my life.
Even if you did not know your coach before hand, that does not mean that they will not help you or play a significant role in your life. I have developed some wonderful friendships with people whom I have never met through this journey. If you have an open mind you can accomplish great things.
Thank you Mindy, for all you have taught me!

I will never give up on helping others!
I received this response today from a friend, whom I have not actually met in person. I blocked out her & her husbands name for confidentiality.
I have been working with this girl on her health & fitness for a few months & she was making great progress. Her hubby jumped on board as well. Like anyone else she had some setbacks. She worked hard to overcome them. She decided to take the plunge & become a coach herself in hopes to open new doors in her life. Around that same time she had a traumatic life experience. She emailed me & told me that she was having a very hard time getting back on stable ground & that she was embarrassed that it was affecting her this way. She told me she needed to step back from the Coaching thing & focus on herself.
In this business, my goal is to focus on others & help them grow personally. I told her that I would do whatever I could to help her & that I knew she would overcome this roadblock. We all experience things in life that throw us off. What makes these situations bearable is the people around us who give us constant support. I will do whatever I can to help her. I have no expectation in return, aside from expecting her to never give up! Reading this email tonight brought a tear to my eye because I simply cannot stand to hear that other people's negative comments affect some in such ways. It just goes to show how other people's insecurities can affect people around them.
Never give up on yourself.
Never give up on your hopes & dreams.
Never stop taking steps towards what you want.
Every day is a new day.
One step at a time.

A little SHOUT OUT for my recent Focus T25 Graduate!!
When I receive text messages like these:
I jump for freakin JOY!!! Seriously, this mommy of 2 little ones & part time Real Estate agent kicked some serious booty! She told me that she modified a lot of the moves so she wanted to do another ROUND before she moved on. I love that! It will be a whole new experience for her the second time around & I have no doubt that she will ROCK IT!

I love bragging about my challengers because these are people I watch daily with their struggles & victories. We are not perfect every day, NOBODY IS! And being able to share that & learn from it is invaluable. I can relate to these people on so many levels. Another part of this that makes my heart smile is that I did NOT know this woman prior to this. She found me via my Team Beachbody Profile & she reached out to me. Something about me connected with her on an intimate level & I was able to help her reach a goal. We have chatted over the phone several times & I feel as if I saw her on the street we would just pick up like great friends who haven't seen each other in a while.
I never thought that I would connect with so many complete strangers that would seek me out & choose me to be their coach. This kind of journey, especially for women, is very deep seeded & most of us do not want to put it all out there for the world to see & I get that because I have been there. I was TERRIFIED when my coach told me to step out of my comfort zone & post my pics on social media. But, I did it. I do not regret it because I have helped so many people since then!

Dynamic Duo
Today I want to talk about the IMPORTANCE of having or being a supportive spouse.
When I tell people my story about starting with Beachbody & I say that I NEEDED to sign up as a discount coach because I NEEDED the discount so that my husband & I could both drink Shakeology, they are in shock. Shock, because most people I talk to do not have a supportive spouse or partner. When I say supportive I mean, that when they decided they wanted to get healthy or lose weight or start exercising, their spouse does not want to make the same effort to get the same results. I see this a lot. I have customers tell me that they cooked a healthy dinner of say, chicken, brown rice & veggies & that their spouse went & ordered a pizza. Whaaaaaaat???? This makes me want to scream! How can people be so mean? Or a spouse who mocks them while they are trying to work out? Do they really want their loved one to FAIL? I don't think so, I think they are afraid of change. That's my opinion anyway. Do they realize that this is going to only make things worse? They are really hurting the partner who is making the effort, emotionally. It makes me want to help even more & show them that not only are they wrong & hurting loved ones in the process but also that it is o.k. for them to start making the changes as well. Most men, yes men, are afraid of their buddies making fun of them for eating "rabbit food" or exercising at home. Yet, these people are just as unhappy, probably overweight & most likely have health issues caused from being overweight.
Even though I wanted Shakeology for both me & my husband he wasn't all about the eating healthier part. He didn't have an issue with working out, but there were foods he just refused to give up or try. I took this in stride because I knew that baby steps were the key to success. It was just a matter of time. In fact I clearly remember when the Ultimate Reset was first released & my coach & several other coaches were doing it, I was telling Tom all about it & I mentioned that you basically became Vegan for the last 2 weeks of the plan. He looked me dead in the eye & said, "I will NEVER be Vegan"! I really believed him too.
Well, a few weeks later when all these people were getting these insane crazy results with the Ultimate Reset & lowering their cholesterol, I still talked about it & showed him the foods etc. He was very resistant. It took some time & A LOT of dedication on both of our parts to do it. I did most all the prep work so he could pack his food with him to work. He was working graveyard shift & addicted to 2-3 energy drinks per night. He lost 20 pounds & knocked 76 points off his Cholesterol. It was hard. We struggled with some of the foods. But we did it, together. We even had company come & stay with us & Tom cooked them pancakes from scratch for breakfast & resisted. This opened up a whole new door for us. Since then he has been able to slowly keep changing his eating habits. We just finished round 2 & at his suggestion, keeping most of the foods in our meal plan for the next few weeks. I couldn't be more proud of him.
My next big move with him was taking him to Summit. Beachbody's BIGGEST pow-wow of the year. I wanted him to experience first hand all of the great things I had been hearing. He attended some of the training seminars with me. Others he didn't & I was fine with that. After all, he wasn't really into working the business like I was. He has a great career that he loves already. But having him there by my side made things much better for me. It told me that no matter where we end up or what we or I decide to do, he will always be by my side. We talked several times about what our goals were for our health, fitness, finances & for our family. It hasn't been easy but if you don;t sit down with your spouse or partner or family & clearly define your goals how do you expect them to support you or even make the same changes?
We have really started to find our common ground on reaching out to others & opening new doors. We have become stronger in our marriage & in our roles in life. I have found that we both have something to add to the mix & it's been proving to explode lately.
I have been trying to figure out my strong skills & really develop them. I was having a conversation with my coach the other day about figuring that out. The more we talked the more I realized the way Tom & I have discovered to work together is it! Then I looked back & thought about other conversations I have had where people tell me that they wished they had what Tom & I had. I never actually knew what they meant by that until now. Our marriage comes naturally to me & I don't really feel like it is work. Don't get me wrong, we have our differences but in the big picture we are now so in tune it kinda blows me away!
Moral of this story: Always support your spouse or partner or family. Just because you may not share the same opinion does not mean that the other person is wrong. You NEVER know where that road will take you!
